About Polly
When I’m not working on my clients’ projects, coaching, or writing for my soon-to-be-launched podcast called “What Really Matters,” you can find me whipping up a delicious gluten-free treat, golfing with my hubby, volunteering in my community, or redecorating my home for the eleventy-bajillionth time. I’m a proud Rotarian and I’m often asked to emcee and speak at a number of events each year on varied topics. Recently, my husband, Cliff, and I got to go on a Mediterranean cruise (our best vacation yet!) as well as to Haiti and Africa on a short-term medical mission.
I want to live in a world filled with constant classical piano music in the background. I’d like for books to come bundled with salted caramel chocolate, and I would absolutely love a force field around my dark wood floors to repel wet and dirty dog paws.
Born and raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley, I still call Clarkston home. I’m happily married to Cliff, a physical therapist from Canada - and we’re preparing to become grandparents very soon!
Experience
As an enthusiastic and resourceful professional with more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, public relations, marketing, and board training, I’m passionate about advancing nonprofit organizations in my community and their executive directors toward the highest levels of success.
During my career, I have worked for a number of colleges and universities in advancement and development, and I have spent the last seven years serving on the executive team at a community-owned hospital in Clarkston, Washington. I have an extensive background in major gift solicitations, annual fund programs, proposal writing, prospect research, board development and donor stewardship. I have helped close six- and seven-figure gifts from individuals and corporations in the form of cash, stocks, equipment, software, and planned gift vehicles.
Most recently, I have ventured into creating my dream of owning and operating my own business focused on coaching and consulting. A consummate team player, I love to connect people with their passions and promote best practices and habit changes through support, encouragement, and education. I have most recently received my Life Coaching Accreditation and I have also dived deep into the world of the Enneagram as a licensed practitioner for this excellent personality tool.
In 2017 – with no time to spare – I was named Young Alumna of the Year from Lewis-Clark State College, my alma mater. I received my Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Public Relations in 1996. As a lover of learning, I have completed extensive education and certifications within the areas of fund raising management and philanthropy, including receiving a Certification in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University in 2006.
